DIY Alignment Tool

If you are a publisher looking for a faster and more efficient way to align content but you do not want to outsource, we have the perfect solution!

"ExACT", the EdGate DIY alignment tool was developed to empower publishers with the ability to correlate their unique content to standards. What makes it exciting is that users who are aligning content state-by-state now have a way to correlate to all standards in one fell swoop!

How does it work? It's simple.

Making a Difference

The wisdom of children is astounding. One of our favorite stories is about the child who sees hundreds of starfish stranded on the beach, and begins taking them one-by-one to the water to save them.  An adult walking the beach says to the child "You can't possibly make a difference...there are far too many starfish to save!"  The child curiously looks at the adult and responds "It will make a difference to this one", and throws it into the sea.  There are many iterations of this story, and the essence is dear to all of us in the educational arena - make a difference!

Curriculum Matrix is now live in the Instructure EduAppCenter and in EDUonGo App Center

EdGate's Curriculum Matrix, a repository of 500,000 grade-specific standards-aligned OER and other freely accessible K-12 resources can now be accessed via the EduAppCenter, an open LTI app collection. The EduAppCenter is provided and maintained by Instructure and allows teachers, administrators and students to install third-party apps in Instructure's Canvas LMS, with just one click.

EdGate: Now Integrating via LTI

EdGate has recently incorporated Learning Tools Interoperability® (LTI®) for easy and direct integration with our Curriculum Matrix and resource partners.

LTI is a specification developed by IMS Global Learning Consortium that was designed to help exchange data between systems. It is a standard way of integrating learning applications such as Curriculum Matrix with various platforms such as LMS, portals, and other educational environments.

What is a Learning Progression?

A learning progression is a sequencing of teaching and learning expectations across multiple developmental stages, ages, or grade levels. We also hear clients refer to learning progressions as vertical alignments. Learning progressions are often categorized by subject area and used in reference to educational standards.
