Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Standards

Recently, there has been a surge of interest in Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Standards within the K-12 school system. Studies have shown that by incorporating SEL curriculum into classrooms, students overall academic performance increased by 11%, compared with students who did not participate in SEL curriculum https://casel.org/impact/. Research is also seeing a positive impact on life outcomes outside of school. In a national study published by the American Journal of Public Health, students who participated in Social Emotional Learning competencies had a significant decrease in criminal activity and substance abuse with an increase in socioeconomic status and employment by the time they were young adults. Currently all 50 U.S. states have preschool SEL curriculum in place. It is projected that by the end of this year 16 states will have adopted K-12 SEL curriculum and standards. EdGate Correlation Services can help align your educational content to SEL standards. We thoroughly maintain updated standards for all US and continuously add new SEL standards as they become available.
